OVERVIEW
Doris is an AI-powered Virtual Try-On widget for e-commerce. As the Product Designer responsible for the entire experience, I transformed a manual, 4-month integration process into a scalable B2B SaaS platform. I designed the self-service dashboard from scratch, allowing partners to autonomously manage 300k+ SKUs and connect their stores without internal intervention.
THE CHALLENGE
The business was stuck in a "manual trap": every new client required months of hand-entry by operators, causing bugs and preventing growth. My mission was to eliminate these operational bottlenecks by designing an automated onboarding and catalog management system that could scale from 1 to dozens of clients.
THE PROBLEM
The integration process was a "black box" that took 4 months to complete, relying 100% on manual data entry by internal operators. This created three critical issues:
Zero Scalability: The team couldn't onboard more than one client at a time due to the massive operational overhead.
Data Integrity: Manual product uploads led to constant bugs and inconsistencies in the widget experience.
High Friction: Partners had no autonomy to manage their own catalogs, creating a total dependency on our internal support.

USER FLOW
By analyzing our client base, I discovered that 51% were operating on VTEX. This data-driven insight was the pivot point for our integration strategy, shifting from manual onboarding to a scalable, automated VTEX IO connector

BENCHMARK
I analyzed leading B2B dashboards to establish a 'premium' design system. The goal was to provide an enterprise-grade experience that felt familiar to e-commerce managers while handling the complexity of 300,000 SKUs

USER JOURNEY
I used FigJam to dismantle the 4-month integration process. Mapping every manual touchpoint allowed us to identify that partner autonomy was our biggest opportunity to reduce friction and scale from 1 to 8 clients

WORKSHOPS
Through workshops with POs and engineers, I translated business pain points into BDD scenarios. This ensured that the transition to a self-service dashboard was technically sound and aligned with our goal of 1-minute partner sign-ups.
THE SOLUTION
I designed an end-to-end B2B dashboard that replaced manual labor with a self-service onboarding and product import flow. By automating the technical barriers, we gave partners full autonomy to manage their catalogs and integrate the Doris Widget into their e-commerce platforms.
Key Strategic Pillars:
VTEX Strategic Integration: Led desk research that identified 51% of our clients were on VTEX, defining our primary integration to maximize market reach.
Operational Journey Mapping: Mapped the complex backend logic into a simple, macro flowchart to ensure every SKU and measurement table synced perfectly with our AI.
Scalable Design System: Established a library of reusable UI components documented in Storybook, ensuring the platform could scale from 1 to 8+ clients with a consistent experience.



VISUAL SYSTEM & UI
I developed a comprehensive visual language and a scalable Design System from the ground up to ensure consistency as the platform grew from a single pilot to multiple partners.
Component-Driven Design: Built a library of reusable UI elements in Figma, optimizing the handoff process and reducing design debt.
Engineering Alignment: All components were documented in Storybook, creating a single source of truth between design and development.
Complex Data Visualization: Designed intuitive dashboards to handle massive catalogs (300k+ SKUs), making complex product management and integration status easy to monitor at a glance.
